Cormac Joyce

Cormac Joyce is currently based in New York City. Trained in acting by Kirk Baltz, Nic Saunders, Gail Rosier and Seamus Allen, has given Cormac a wide range of experience and influences. Between his education and work Cormac has had experience in a variety of styles and mediums in theatre, film and television.

He graduated with a 1st in Creative Computing BSc Goldsmiths College, specializing in designing and realizing technological systems for theatre. His dissertation project "The Conductor" was a character driven play revolving around a robot that he designed, built and puppeteered. The project identified the accessibility, effectiveness and affordability in bringing not only robotics but also other technological systems into theatre. "The Conductor" was shortlisted for the LET Award by Les Enfants Terribles.

Cormac has for the past eleven years been involved with many theatre and production companies in the UK including Creative Vortex, Mid-Atlantic Productions, GoldReel, Acorn Music Theatre Company, The Young Riparians and Garden Gate Productions.
